GARBAGE & RECYCLING
The Town of Dobson contracts with Waste Management for all solid waste and recycling services. All Town residents are provided with garbage and recycling cans. Garbage is collected every Friday and recycling is collected every other Monday. Residents are encouraged to roll their carts to the curb the night prior to ensure their garbage and recycling are picked-up. Updates regarding holiday pick-ups are posted on this website as well as on the Town’s Facebook page. The full pick up schedule can be found below:

Public Works Director - Michael Frazier
Michael was hired as Public Works Director in 2003. Prior to that, Michael worked in Dobson as a consultant with Hydro Management Services for eight years. As Public Works Director, Michael manages all public works employees, oversees the provision of all public works services, works to expand and improve Dobson’s water, sewer, and street infrastructure, and ensures that all public works functions are carried out in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Water & Sewer Services - Using money collected from water/sewer bills and from various fees associated with water and sewer services, the Public Works Department provides safe and clean drinking water for the Town as well as treats and disposes of waste water. To provide these services, the town operates and maintains a water treatment plant, three water towers, a wastewater treatment plant, and several lift and pump stations. Providing drinking water and disposing of wastewater is a serious matter and working in and on these facilities requires extensive training and certification. Drinking water quality and the cleanliness of wastewater discharge is strictly monitored and regulated by the state and federal government to maximize water consumer safety and minimize environmental impact.
